Marketecture Media is proud to announce the re-launch of Adland.tv, an amazing creative resource with over 80,000 advertisements from the 1970s through today, along with the world’s largest repository of Super Bowl commercials.
For twenty years AdLand has been featuring the best, worst, and most controversial advertising in the world. To the dismay of its millions of fans, the site shut down abruptly earlier this year. Today we’re announcing that AdLand is back, under the ownership of Marketecture Media.
If you want to get a sense of why we acquired AdLand, check out some of the ways you can get your creativity flowing:
Thousands of cool out-of-home ads from around the world
Vintage video game ads from the archives
AdLand was founded over twenty years ago by Åsk Wäppling, an art director early in her career. She talked about her experience:
When I started Adland as an art director back in 1996 it was just to amuse myself. I could not have predicted that it would outlast the Absolut campaign. It means the world to me to know that it has had an impact on so many creatives all over the world. I’m glad that Adland is in Marketecture’s more than capable hands. And I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
AdLand has collected its amazing repository of advertising through the contributions of the community. AdLand will continue welcoming new submissions of ads from creative agencies and brands. While the AdLand site is free, moving forward there will be a small fee for each new creative submission.
We hope you’re as excited about AdLand as we are.
